# Disclaimer

Privacy Ratings is an informational resource. Please read this page before relying on anything published here.

## Ratings can be wrong

Ratings, grades, scores, test results, jurisdictions and descriptions are compiled from public sources and automated tests. Products, policies, ownership and laws change often, sources can be incomplete, and mistakes happen. **Any information on this site may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.** Check the linked evidence and the provider's own documentation before making a decision.

## Anyone can submit a correction

If something is wrong, [open a correction on GitHub](https://github.com/privacyratings/privacyratings.com/issues/new?template=correction.yml) or use "Report a correction" on any rating page. Vendors are welcome to submit evidence for their own products. Maintainers review corrections in public under the [governance rules](/governance/).

## Not advice

Nothing on this site is legal, security, financial, medical or other professional advice, and no rating is an endorsement, certification or guarantee. Picks are editorial opinions. Grades describe the evidence found against published criteria, not the overall quality, safety or legality of a product. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.

## No warranty

This site and its data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maintainers and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, this site, its data, badges, API or command-line tool.

## Trademarks and third-party content

Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products being rated. Their use does not imply affiliation or endorsement. Linked third-party sites are outside the control of Privacy Ratings and are covered by their own terms and policies.

## Conflicts of interest

Privacy Ratings is backed by [Forward Email](https://forwardemail.net), which is also rated here. Affiliated entries carry a disclosure and follow the [conflict-of-interest rules](/governance/).
